On December 21, 2020 (85 FR 83366), the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) published a final rule in the federal register correcting editorial errors and improves the clarity of certain provisions in the Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR Parts 106 -180) and PHMSA program and procedural regulations. The intended effect of this rulemaking is to enhance the accuracy and reduce misunderstandings of the regulations. The amendments contained in this final rule are non-substantive changes and do not impose new requirements. This final rule is effective January 20, 2021.
