On December 20, 2017, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) published a Corrigenda (IMO sales number IK200E) making editorial corrections to the IMDG Code 2016 Edition (Amendment 38-16). All supplements maybe downloaded from the IMO website at: IMO Supplements Page and IMO recommends printing and inserting with the regulations. This corrigenda includes many miscellaneous amendments with a few noteworthy corrections in the following sections of the IMDG Code: 2.7.2.3.2 Surface Contaminated Object (SCO) Definition: - Replace “or” with “and” at the end of the subparagraph 2.7.2.3.2.1.2 SCO-I definition - Replace “or” with “and” at the end of the subparagraph 2.7.2.3.2.2.2 SCO-II definition 5.3.2.0.2 Display of proper shipping name marking on Cargo Transport Units (CTUs): - Replace the words “not more than 65 mm” with the words “not less than 65 mm” in the first sentence - Replace the words “capacity of less than” with the words “capacity of not more than” in the third sentence Chapter 3.2 Dangerous Goods List: - Insert Special Provision “368” in Column 6 for the UN2908 entry if the empty packaging contains any Uranium Hexafluoride - Insert Special Provision “325” in Column 6 for the UN2913 entry if the material contains Uranium Hexafluoride - Insert Special Provision “326” in Column 6 for the UN3326 entry if the material contains Uranium Hexafluoride Chapter 3.3 Special provisions applicable to certain substances, materials or articles (SP 369): - Replace “with radioactive material” by “with radioactivity” in the first paragraph - Replace “2.7.2.3.6” with “2.7.2.3.5” in the end of the second paragraph
