This course is designed to provide participants with general information for transporting hazardous materials. Course participants have the opportunity to use copies of current excerpts of applicable regulations and gain familiarity with those regulations. The emphasis of this course is transport of hazardous materials in quantities not requiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). This training meets the requirements found in 49 CFR 177.816.
Materials Provided
Materials will be provided to facilitate completing the course.
Examination
Successful completion is achieved with a passing score of 80% or better on a written exam.
Record Keeping
Successful participants receive a certification stating that the training meets the requirements of 49 CFR 172, Subpart H.
Who should Attend?
Any person who in the course of employment, transports hazardous materials in quantities not requiring a CMV or CDL.
Prerequisites
Hazardous Material General Awareness Transportation Training or equivalent.
Equivalencies must be approved by the EnergySolutions Training Manager.
Retrain Frequency: 3 Years
